dear reader,
a "syntax error" occurs when information is entered into a computer using an incorrect or unrecognizable format. even if only one letter is written incorrectly, the entire message is rejected. "syntax errors" also occur in spoken language. for example, someone may speak or write a thought and the idea is understandable yet the format, or, syntax, is incorrect. many times we can identify the meaning behind a person's words even if there are major errors.
"syntax errors" of the heart are quite a different matter all together...
these type of errors are not as black and white as those entered into a computer system. however, they are not as cavalier as errors of language. "syntax errors" of the heart are dense with meaning, brimming with minutae, and overwhelmed with contradiction. these errors have the ability to both hurt and heal.
syntax errors of the heart are beautiful, chaotic, lovely, constructions of the paradox that is the human soul...
